A promising young doctor has finally left his troubled past behind him and started over in Louisiana—or so he thought. When a new patient in shocking condition is brought in, it threatens to change his life forever.

Clint Baxter is a resident at Louisiana's Ochsner Medical Center. Under the supervision of lead surgeon Dr. Lillian Charles, he begins to develop feelings for her. However, everything changes when the arrival of a patient with missing organs sends shockwaves through the hospital.

After Lillian reveals that this patient isn't the first victim, Clint volunteers to help with the investigation. Motivated by his innate morality and desire to prove himself to Lillian, he risks everything—including his life—to catch the killer.
